All I Ask Of You

Okay, let us see another typographic of mine. This one is an imitation of stencil graffiti. The words were picked from the song All I Ask Of You, featured in The Phantom Of The Opera by good old Andrew Lloyd Webber, a true classic of musical. This particular line is sung by Raoul and was once performed by me when we staged the musical in the summer of 2009. So you can imagine, the line crosses my mind quite frequently.

This is actually my first time working with a texture instead of a solid colour or a gradient. I know this pretty much looks shopped - but I'm working on it ))

Images And Words

Well, since I really don't have anything interesting going on to post here, I'll write the following.

Recently I started to take interest in typographics. You know, juggling words and their forms, sizes and so on. At first I came up with an idea of cover design for the debut "single" for my band. Here it is:

When our bassist was positively surprised at how good it looked I thought that maybe I could do something more sophisticated, put an idea inside it. So, after a while spent in Photoshop I came up with two images. The first one was based on The Forsyte Saga, which I pretty much hated during my studies. It looks kinda spooky when set as a wallpaper, but when shrinked to a thumbnail, the idea is quite clear.

The second one is fresh and made today. I made this out of various quotes from a person I know - I won't be calling names here. I hid the names to make it sound like an everyday talk, so no one except this very person can know who said this.

I think I'll post new stuff here as soon as I come up with another "brilliant" idea.

After almost five years of blogging in LiveJournal I've finally made up my mind to start a new diary, this time in English and with tags. Being a new-born Google fan I picked Blogspot - so let's see how long it takes a man to abandon a fresh new blog ))
